Little Cwtch Photography offer a variety of sessions... documentary, home, location and mini sessions on set dates throughout the year.
My favourite type of photography is capturing my children living their daily life. These are my most treasured images to look back on as the years pass. Let me do the same for you.
From eating their lunch to running around the garden, from playing with their siblings to having family snuggles on the sofa; these are the moments that you take for granted, but the ones that truly capture your family life.
These sessions would in the main be offered in your home and/or garden, but I would also be happy to venture with you to your local playground or other nearby location. The key thing to remember about these documentary sessions is that you won't find me directing you - instead, I'll be hiding out of sight, pretending I'm not there while I catch some secret, special family moments.
I am passionate about capturing your family life in a relaxed and personal experience. Children will be fully encouraged to be children; to play, have fun and be themselves while I capture those little moments you want to remember forever.
I want to tell your family's unique story through my lens.
These sessions will take place at a location of your choice within a reasonable distance for us both. Families, couples and older children suit this type of session the best but smaller kids and babies are always welcome. They can get a little bored sometimes so I try to move them around a lot, take some time for snacks and toilet breaks and even for a clothes change. The aim is to keep it fun.

FAQ
Where are you based and do you travel?
A. I'm Hertfordshire based and yes I love to travel! If you want me to photograph your story, it will require a travel fee if 15+ miles from Hemel Hempstead.
When is payment due?
A. A 50% non refundable deposit will be required upon booking. The balance will be due 24 hours prior to the session date.
When will we get our photos?
A. You will receive a private online gallery link with all your photos within 2 weeks of our session. Here you can choose your favourite images to keep, and will even be able to share with family and friends instantly.
How many pictures will we receive?
A. The basic session package includes 15 images. If you add an additional hour you will receive an additional 15 images. You also have the option to purchase the entire gallery or additional images.
How does the session work?
A. For documentary sessions, I will introduce myself to everyone and essentially let you get on with your day. You can plan in advance what you'd like to be doing in this time, for example crafts, baking, playing in the garden, whatever you want to capture. I will then just move around you to get the best photos.
The home/location shoots will be some loosely posed shots, but I like to capture you as natural as possible, so I will usually give you prompts to get some more candid shots. For children, I'll try my best to keep them entertained and make them giggle!
What should we wear?
A. My biggest advice here is to avoid anything with writing/images as the eye will go straight to those. Keep it as plain as possible.
It's good to coordinate colours a little, but there's no need to go OTT and have you all wearing exactly the same sort of thing.
Just go with whatever is comfortable for you.
I'm happy for you to bring a change of outfits too.
Do I need a tidy house for the home/documentary sessions?
A. Absolutely not. In fact, I'd suggest not really tidying too much at all. A show home tidy home is not realistic to most family life.
If there is anything obvious that needs to be moved, I'll move stuff around as I go.
